Smoke signals

Smoke signals was an interesting story. It tied very well with the movies we’ve been watching sun The Sapphires, and Rabbit Proof Fence. It is interesting to see how perception changes so drastically between two people, even when they are talking about the same person. Victor was very resentful towards his father and actually he had a right to be as his father was an alcoholic that would miss treat him, and would ultimately abandon him. On the other hand you see the admiration in Thomas towards Arthur’s father since his father saved Thomas from a house fire when he was a baby and in the accident his parents die, so I could absolutely see how Thomas could be so grateful to Arthur’s father, on his own way. They both have valid reasons to justify their feelings and emotions towards the same individual. It was just interesting to see how perspective can be so different, but that’s what makes it interesting, as if we all had the same perspective this would be a pretty boring world. Different perspectives and ideals bring different outcomes and that was the cases in this movie. It was interesting to see the truth come out at the end of the story, I like when you think you have a movie figured out and then the twist comes out. Good movie !
